Abstract

A series of novel quaternary ammonium surfactants containing adamantane were designed and synthesized from 1-adamantanecarboxylic acid. The structures of target surfactants were confirmed by 1H NMR, elements analysis and FTIR. Surface properties of these surfactants were investigated.
