Abstract

Methodology has been established for the formation of enantiomerically enriched α-amino acids using palladium-catalysed allylic amination. The formation of enantiomerically enriched allylamines has been achieved with high enantioselectivity. Oxidative cleavage of the allylamines provides arylglycine and glutamic acid derivatives.
