Abstract: A dimer and a mixture of oligomers of acceptor-substituted anilines were prepared, either by Knoevenagel condensation of substituted cyanoacetylpiperazines with p- aminobenzaldehydes or by carbonyldiimidazole-promoted coupling of phenylpiperazines with p-aminocyanocinnamic acids.
