Abstract
Abstract A simple and convenient procedure for the preparation of 2-( substitutedbenzylsulfanyl) benzothiazoles by the reaction of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and benzyl bromides in acetone/K 2 CO 3 has been reported and the compounds have been screened for their potential antimicrobial activities.
