Abstract Thermally stable core–shell gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) with highly grafted polymer shells were synthesized by combining reversible addition-fragmentation transfer (RAFT) polymerization and click chemistry of copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC).
