Abstract
An examination of the structure-activity relationship of thiazide and hydrothiazide diuretics led to the conclusion that apart from other factors a substituent in neighboring position to the sulfonamide group must be present and that compounds having C1, Br, NOz, and CF3 groups in this position are highly active.'In generalizations about structural features that lead to diuretic activity in both the aromatic disulfonamides and the thiazides and their related ...
