Abstract
Materials. Inorganic and organic reagents used were all of the highest commercial grade and used without further purification. A solution of HC1 in ethanol-water (9010 v/v) was prepared by mixing 35% aqueous HC1 or gaseous HCl with appropriate amount of 99% ethanol and water. The concentration was confirmed by alkalimetry.
