Abstract

The synthesized benzothiadiazole-based series fluorophores as potential wavelength- shifting materials exhibit large Stokes shifts (> 160nm) with multiple broad absorbance bands from UV region to 600nm and a strong fluorescence peak around 700nm (in CHCl3).
