Abstract
Chemical syntheses of several 0-glycopeptides containing 0-galactosylthreonine are reported. Two different approaches have been investigated to determine the strategy best adapted to the synthesis of any desired 0-glycopeptide. Glycosylation of an adequately protected threonine-containing peptide was shown to be less successful than a stepwise strategy using an appropriate 0-glycosyl amino acid as starting material.
