Abstract

We have developed a new method for the preparation of pyrazidol, in which the outstanding difference from the previous method consists in that the N-alkylation of carbazole is carried out at the final and not the first stage of the synthesis. The overall yield of pyrazidol is 59%(based on ketone II), ie, the effectiveness of the synthesis by the two methods is approximately the same.
