Abstract
Organic sulfur compounds such as disulfide, thiolsulfinate, thiolsulfonate, thiol, sodium thiolate, and sodium sultinale were readily oxidized to both sulfinic and sulfonic acids with superoxide anion generated from potassium superoxide and 18-crown-6-ether under mild conditions.
