Abstract: The bacterial flavoprotein monooxygenase cyclohexanone oxygenase was found by spectrophotometric NADPH consumption assays and product analysis studies to perform oxygenation reactions on ketones, aldehydes, sulfides, selenides, boronic acids, a phosphite ester, and an iodide ion.
