Abstract

JOURNAL. 71, 4012 (1949). for the clinically useful antispasmodic drug, Trasentin (P- diethylaminoethyl diphenylacetate). Blicke and Tsao6 prepared phenyl-2-thienylglycolic acid in two ways: by the reaction of phenylmagnesium bromide with 2-thienylglyoxylic acid, and by the reaction of 2-thienylmagnesium bromide on phenylglyoxylic acid.
