Abstract
Transition-metal catalysts have played a significant role in state-of-the-art aliphatic C–H oxidation processes, especially in C–H oxygenation(2) and C–H amination,(3) which have actually revolutionized the retrosynthetic tactics of biologically active complex molecules.(4) On the other hand, our reaction design for the C–H oxidation was motivated by the potential of free radical reactions that could be operated under transition-metal-free conditions.
