Abstract: A variety of alkyl radicals containing one or more chlorine atoms substituted in the cy, p, and y positions are generated for esr study. The migration of chlorine from the/3 to cy position occurs readily if the centers are tertiary and primary, respectively, but no rearrangements are observed from more remote positions regardless of the pattern of substitution.
