Abstract
The recent literature contains a number of references to the preparation of five-membered heterocyclic analogs of styrene which have been carried out primarily to study the polymerizability of such substances. Thus 2-vinylfuran, 2 2-vinylthio-~ hene,~ 2-~ inylthiazole~ and?-vinylimidazole5 are known and several homologs have been synthesized. 6 On the other hand, the properties of 2-viiiylpyrrolc are not recorded ...
