Abstract
Abstract Kinetic studies have been carried out of the reactions of 15 nucleophiles with 2, 4- dinitrophenyl acetate and 14 nucleophiles with 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene in 52%(w/w) methanol at 25 C. The rate constant values obtained and literature data have been treated by the factor analysis. It has been found that the description of nucleophilicity at least needs two factors.
