Abstract

THE reaction of the complex formed from NN-dimethyl- formamide (DMF) and arylsulphonyl chlorides (I) with weakly basic amines has been reported to yield two types of product, sulphonanilides (11) and formamidines (I1I).ls2 It has been found that hydrazones (IV) react in a similar manner with sulphonyl chloride-amide com- plexes (V) to give the new compounds (VII) (as salts VI). ...
