Abstract
The reaction between 0-benzoyl oximes and sodium hydride offers interesting possibilities for condensation and elimination reactions. Acetophenone 0-benzoyl oxime (la) in boiling toluene reacted smoothly with sodium hydride to evolve an approximately equimolar amount of hydrogen.
