Abstract

A series of Schiff's bases has been prepared by condensing primary amines derived from pyridine or a benzpyritline with suitable aldehydes derived from pyridine or a benzpyridine. Their molecules contain three donor nitrogen atoms spaced similarly tc-. the nitrogen atoms in the molecule of 2, 6-bis-(e-pyridy1)-pyridine (“terpyridine”).
