Abstract

A wide variety of boron compounds may be classed as either demonstrated or potential monomers. Polymers of such compounds contain boron atoms whose bonds either form part of the polymer skeleton as in glycol borates, or are non-integral to the polymer skeleton. Molecules containing a polymerizable vinyl group and a boron moiety unaffected by vinyl polymerization conditions could lead to the latter type of polymer. Representative ...
