Abstract

Subsequent reports3 from our laboratory have shown that these rearrangements usually occur during the purification step and that it is possible to trap the carbinol. Thus, the reaction product of trifluorovinyllithium and benzaldehyde when treated with 2-naphthy1 isocyanate gave the corresponding urethan in 53% yield.
