Abstract

Results Triphenylb~ rane~ and tri-a-naphthylb~ rane~ were prepared by treating phenylmagnesium bromide and a-naphthylmagnesium bromide, respectively, with boron trifluoride, according to the procedures previously des~ ribed.~,~ Utilization of a similar procedure for the preparation of trimesitylborane3 resulted in the formation of dimesitylfluoroborane. Trimesitylborane could be obtained only by the use of a large ...
