Abstract
Bull. SOC. Chim. Belg. vol. 94/n06/1985 ... A HIGH-YIELD SELECTIVE N(3)-ALKYfATION PROCESS OF HY-INS ... Jacques H. Poupaert, Claude Smeyers, and Patrick Bijttcher, Mpartemnt de Chimie et Technologic Phamaceutiques, UCL ... ABSTRACT A selective N(3)-alkylation process of 5-substituted hydantoins is described. Treatment of hydantoins with excess of dimethylformamide dialkyl acetals at 100°C results in N(3)-alkyl derivatives in 69-90 6 yield.
