Abstract
General synthetic methods for the preparation of dialkylamines 3 are usually included in some of these three strategies: reductive amination of aldehydes and ketones, 4 alkylation of primary amines with alkyl halides, 5 and alkylation reactions using transition metals. 6 All of them have disadvantages which determine that they cannot be considered as a general method.
