Abstract Ionic liquids (ILs) immobilized onto a structurally modified Merrifield peptide resin (MPR) were prepared through the reaction of imidazole with alkoxylated MPR. Elemental analysis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations showed that the immobilized IL groups were effectively incorporated on the support.
