Abstract
Antagonists of the platelet fibrinogen receptor (GP IIb/IIIa receptor) are expected to be a promising new class of antithrombotic agents. The binding of fibrinogen to the fibrinogen receptor depends on an Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser (RGDS) tetrapeptide recognition motif.
