Abstract

A study was undertaken to determine if IV is an intermediate in the reaction and to elucidate the react'ion mechanism. The accompanying paper will cover the kinet, ics and postulat, ed mechanism for the reaction. The purpose of t'his coiiiniunicat, ion is to report on the preparation of some alkyl-and arylsubstit'uted thiazolidine-2-thiones and of their@- aminoalkyl hydrogen sulfate precursors.
