Abstract

This paper describes the synthetic utility of aryl mesylates derived from phenols in various transition metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. The Ni (0)-catalyzed cross-couplings of aryl mesylates with organometallic carbanion synthons (organotin,-magnesium, and-zinc compounds) are described.
