Abstract
Electrophilic aromatic bromination is one of the oldest reactions known to organic chemists. Halogenation is usually used as a tool for providing complex functionality to achieve the desired structure and activity of the end compound. Aryl halides are intermediates for the preparation of organometallic reagents, numerous bulk and fine chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. [ 1 1.
