Abstract
Abstract The relative reactivity of photosolvolysis of a number of substituted benzyl acetates is in the order ortho> meta> para, these substitutent effects being apparently additive, as suggested by the relative reactivity of photomethanolysis of several dimethoxy-substituted benzyl alcohols.
