Abstract
Summary The method of alkylation by transfer of alkyl groups has been applied successfully to the alkylation of monochlorobenzene by transfer of isopropyl groups from cumene, in the presence of aluminum chloride. The para isomer has been shown to be present among the chlorocumenes thus prepared.
