Abstract
In this work, we have studied the catalytic oxidative cleavage of CC bonds of cycloalkanones and α-ketols, in the presence of natural phosphate (NP) type fluorapatite, Ca10 (PO4) 6F2, and dioxygen. The aim was to find a heterogeneous system clean and efficient alternative to the industrial oxidation of cyclohexanone to adipic acid with nitric acid.
