Abstract
Due to the presence of an active P–H bond, monoaryl-H-phosphinates can undergo an array of synthetically useful reactions, such as oxidation and oxidative couplings, 16 alkylation, 17 addition to carbonyl groups and imines, 18 hydrophosphinylation of multiple bonds, 19 and 20 or allylation 20 (Scheme 1, step c). Therefore, H-phosphinates represent versatile intermediates in the synthesis of various classes of arylated organophosphorus compounds.
