Abstract

Résumé/Abstract The paper deals with the synthesis of 4-(2-furyl)-and 4-(2-thienyl) pyrimidines, their quaternization reactions with 2-bromoacetophenones, 2- bromoacetonaphthone and ethyl bromoacetate and the obtaining of 4-(2-furyl)-and 4-(2- thienyl) pyrimidinium ylides, by treating the corresponding quaternary salts with bases.
