Abstract

In contrast to 9-o-aminoplien~-l-9-fluorenol, which on deamination gave the rearranged product tribenzot r~ pone,~ 9-0-aminophenylfluorene underwent deamination normally, giving the expected indene [1, 2, 3-jk] fluorene, fluoradene.
