Abstract
4-(1, 2, 3, 4-Tetrahydroquinolyl-l)-quinazoline.-Ten grams (0.0685 mole) of 4-quinazolone was refluxed with 22 g.(0.105 mote) of phosphorus pentachloride and 100 ml. phosphorus oxychloride for twenty-four hours. The latter was removed by distillation under diminished pressure; toluene (15 ml.) was added and 10 ml. removed by distillation. Twenty grams (0.139 mole) of 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydroquinoline was added and the resulting mixture refluxed ...
