Abstract
The rate of a cleavage of triplet dibenzyl ketones (Type I photolysis) has been estimated to be at least 1O1O While we were investigating the behavior of radical pairs on a silica gel surface in comparison with that in solution and micelle^,^ an opportunity presented itself to measure directly the relative rates of the type I reaction.
