Abstract

Abstract Reactions of cyclopentanone, cyclohexanone, N-substituted pyrrolidin-3-one and piperidin-4-one, and tetrahydropyran-4-one with allyl bromide in the presence of zinc and ammonium chloride gave the corresponding geminal hydroxy allyl derivatives.
