Abstract
The spin trap 3, 5-dibromo-4-nitrosobenzenesulfonate was used to monitor the yield of free radicals produced during sonolysis of water-methanol mixtures. Methyl radicals and e H 2 0 H radicals were observed as well as the isotopically mixed radicals CH, D and CHD2 when CH30D: D20 mixtures were studied.
