Abstract: Triplet-sensitized irradiation of the previously reported [4+ 21 photoadduct between naphthalene and N-methyltriazolinedione gave a di-7-methane rearranged urazole. The urazole was converted into diazabenzosemibullvalene by hydrazinolysis and oxidation.
