Abstract

In a previous communication2 1, 3, 5-trimethyl-2-phenyl (or-alkyl)-2-hydroxy-4, 6- dioxohexahydro-triazines (I) were described. In order to corroborate this formulation it was attempted to arrive at a common derivative starting from 2-phenyl-4, 6- dioxotetrahydrotriazine (11), the cyclization product of benzoyl biuret, a substance studied extensively by O~ trogovich.~ In his later conimunications he ascribes mono-enolic ...
