Abstract

Results Mononitroquinolines. To a solution of each of the compounds lc-g in liquid ammonia was added potassium permanganate, and this solution was stirred for 10 h. Each of the reaction mixtures was found by TLC to contain only the aminonitroquinoline and starting material (Scheme I).
