Abstract

We report below the preparation of l-trimethylsilyloxy-1-cyclopropylethylene (1) and its application to the synthesis of P-cyclopropyl-a, P-unsaturated ketones (vinylcyclopropanes), which are currently of interest from a synthetic viewpoint. 2 The preparation and thermal rearrangement of~-cyclopropyl-a,~ 3-unsaturated ketones have been the subject of several recent accounts in the literature.
