Abstract

L-cysteinylglycine (12). A solution of 1.67 g (5.0 mmol) of the N-hydroxysuccinimide ester of 8 in 17 ml of dioxane was added to a solution of 1.74 g (5.0 mmol) of 2 and 0.84 mmol of sodium bicarbonate in 40 ml of water. The same reaction conditions and work-up as described above gave 2.41 g of crude 12.
