Abstract
Nitroguanidine dearranges in two modes and may be used for synthesis in two ways by taking advantage of the products which result from its dearrangement in one manner or the other. Thus, with ammonium carbonate it yields guanidine carbonate, and with primary aliphatic amines it gives N-alkyl-N'-nitroguanidines. 2 These alkyl-nitroguanidines, having a hydrogen atom attached to each of the guanidine nitrogens, are capable of ...
