Abstract
Abstract Nmr (1 H, 13 C, 31 P) spectra of three dialkyl phosphites existing as diastereomeric mixtures were analysed in order to demonstrate the nmr nonequivalence caused by the chirality of the XYP (O) H centre. In all cases, 31 P, 13 C, and to a lesser extent, 1 H nmr showed the expected splitting, indicating configurational stability of the phosphorus atom.
