Abstract
Conclusion The mechanisms of oxidative decarboxylation of amino acids promoted by NBS have been shown to be significantly influenced by the presence of alkyl groups at the a- carbon. It will be interesting to see if this effect extends to other amino acids and to oxidizing agents other than NBS.
