Abstract

The mechanism of the tert-butylhydroperoxide-mediated, Pd (Quinox)-catalyzed Wacker- type oxidation was investigated to evaluate the hypothesis that a selective catalyst- controlled oxidation could be achieved by rendering the palladium coordinatively saturated using a bidentate amine ligand.
