Abstract
Abstract Two methods have been established for the synthesis of 4-amino-3-(β-D- ribofuranosyl)-pyrazole-5-carboxamide. This nucleoside ean be viewed as a potentially versatile intermediate for the synthesis of various bieyelic C-nueleosides. The use of HPLC for the final purification of “pure” samples on the basis of elemental analysis is described.
